Bohinj, known to the German-speaking peoples as Vochein, is a place rich in ancient traditions. Situated as it is at the foot of great mountains and shrouded in mysterious mists lingering over the lake, which dominates this remote and hidden corner of the Alps, makes it appear as a place at the end of the world. For centuries, it could only be reached via mountain passes. Numerous frescoes and vestiges of places of worship remind us of its past, as it was once also a battleground between Christians and pagans. The film documents in beautiful images the Prsivec mountain dominating the lake with its numerous waterfalls, caves, pits and crevices of Alpine karst beauty.
