The inhabitants of the viles (Ladin word for a group of houses) of Seres and Misci in the South Tyrol, like other mountain communities, have always lived in harmony with nature, taking from it only what was needed for their survival. For years numerous mills ground the rye, barley and oats cultivated by the peasants in the valley. These useful and ancient buildings then fell into disuse and gradually deteriorated with the advent of new ways of life. Today, however, due to the agricultural crisis, the local people have decided the mills, with tourism, might help the community and prevent the abandonment of the mountains. The documentary illustrates the project of recovery and revitalisation of the whole valley.
