The documentary, with scenes shot in the western Alps, narrates the life of sheep raisers in the Biellese valleys and records, with care and poetry, the various activities throughout the four seasons: from the first shearing in spring to the transhumance to the summer alpine pastures (also across the borders into the nearby Valsesia and Valle d’Aosta); from the second annual shearing to the gradual return to the plain where they spend the winter.
