The North of Eiger is without doubt one of the best known impressive and important mountain faces in the Alpine chain, coveted by climbers throughout the world. Unfortunately its fame has been marked with many accidents and great tragedies, especially during the historical period of the first attempts to conquer it. Despite this it still preserves its attraction as a great wall even today. The film focuses on an accurate historical reconstruction, immediately compared with modern alpinism, which gives the spectator an insight to the various situations of danger and technical environmental difficulties that have always distinguished this north face.
