The documentary was made to mark the eightieth anniversary of the Gran Paradiso Park, instituted on 3 December 1922, and it recounts the story of this Italian national park from its origin to the present day.
The scenes were shot in Aosta Valley and in Piedmont with documentation and interviews with historians, park wardens and local administrators who illustrate in detail the value, care and conservation of this natural island.
