In braving the long Juquila Canyon of 30 km, in the State of Oaxaca, in Central Mexico, the La Venta group of explorers have a double objective: to be the first to cover the whole of it and to check for the existence of grottoes.
Since they haven’t much time, two teams are formed.
The first will go down the Canyon and the second will ascend it from the other end to meet the first. During the descent the first team discovers ancient rupestrian art, but they have to deal with some accidents and they are delayed two days and run out of food. Because of this delay the second group leaves base camp to go up the Canyon to rescue their companions. The two groups are reunited and celebrate the new route they have opened in the Juquila.
