Poli is an ancient and very popular sport in the three northern valleys of Pakistan situated thousands of feet above sea level. These are the splendid areas of Chitral, Gilgit and Shandoor where Polo is part of the life of the population. Played according to ancient and wellestablished rules that do not permit foul play, nor ever a change of orse during the game, in this form of Polo the players keep on changing their roles and positions. Hitting the opponent's mallet with one's own mallet and obstructing his gorse with one's oen horse is allowed. In this documentary the game of polo is an excuse to describe the natural environmental beauty and the cultural wealth of the people who live in these valleys.
