In the autumn of 2002 a violent eruption of Etna involved two sides of the volcano and part the surrounding area. For the experts it was an important eruption and probably part of a cycle, and therefore the event deserverd particular attention. Insread it met with great indifference at best and in most cases complete disinterest. The film describes a relationship between man and nature that is now well tested.
