The series of three documentaries ends with a filmed account of the return of the 1954 expedition members to Italy. The Asia motor vessel stops in Neples, where the first celebrations are held, and then leaves for Genoa. The cinecamera shows some scenes of life on board during the voyage to the Ligurian city. When the alpinists arrive at destination, they are reunited with their relatives. Then, after meeting the press and population, they begin the “triumphal” return home. The newsreel technique is completely Fantin’s idea and the result is an admirable example of “filmed news” and, above all, it is “commentated” with grat emphasis.
