On March 1st 2004, Patrick Berhault and Philippe Magnin leave Saint Christophe en Oisans in order to climb, one after the other, all of the 82 peaks that are above 4000 meters, taking them from Oisans to Bernina, passing Monte Bianco, Valais and the Bernese Oberland. Both climbers are well known for their pure and genuine climbing style. This new project, based on their spirit of rope climbing and adventure, is an opportunity to explore the peaks of the highest mountains in Europe from a different perspective, always covering new ways and approaching the mountain until they nearly becme one and the same with it. This experience reveals something that until moment has beenunknown to them. After having climbed across the Alps for two months, on April 28th 2004, in awful weather conditions, Berhault and Magning are equipping for the difficult and very long climb on the Nadelgrat to reach their 67th peak, when without warning a rockyfoothold falls away...
