Giuliana lives in the linguistic enclave of Sappada, in Italy, near the Austrian border. She works in the kitchen of Bellavista hotel, but at the same time she dedicates herself to the study of the Plodar dialect, which she has been familiar with since she was a little girl. The film shows Giuliana visiting the old people of her childhood village. While going back to her origins she will be obliged to face both the light and darker periods of her life.
