The documentary tells the story of Capanne di Marcarolo, a small village on the Liguria Apennine range, which in the ‘50s went through a period of intense depopulation, passing from 800 inhabitants at that time to just 40 now. Through a series of passionate interviews the old inhabitants of Capanne talk about themselves: for centuries these people were able to survive in this harsh territory but then they quickly began to leave the mountains, fascinated by the expectations of progress and urbanization. Today it seems that some people are going back to that village, to make a new life for themselves.
