SWEPT AWAY, ADRIFT BETWEEN ALASKA AND SIBERIA
FILIP DE RYCKE
Belgium / 2006 / 50'
In March 2005, the Polar explorers Dixie Dansercoer and Troy Henkels made an attempt on foot to cross the Bering Strait from Alaska to Siberia, planning to be fully self-sufficient. There is no fiction, no acting and no exterior aids - just the camera silently witnessing this extraordinary enterprise.
