The film tells the story of two aged Aboriginals, Stuart and Valerie Ankin, who are fighting to defend the culture and traditions of their community from extinction. By combining the past generations’ know-how with modern science, they can create new activities and give new economic impulse to the young Aboriginals who, in this way, may have the chance to go back and live in their ancestors’ land. They go back to their roots in an attempt to preserve Aboriginal culture and tradition. In Stuart Ankin’s opinion this is to also offer future generations an alternative lifestyle to the modern life of towns, empty of real humanity.
