This is the last interview given by Enzo Biagi. It brings back to life his childhood and the places where he was brought up, on the Pianaccio Mounts. The great Italian journalist was born in Lizzano in Belvedere, a small village in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine, in August 1920. In this interview, he talks about his humble origins being the son of a worker and a simple housewife. Before moving to town to follow his dream to become a journalist, he had already demonstrated his gift for writing when a pupil at school. The Apennine do not only represent his childhood memories as a few years later, when he had just turned twenty years old, Biagi joined the Resistance partisans. Following his recent death, this delicate and touching document, leaves us with the most precious and dear memories of this great personality. A journey, to the homelands, of that humble soul that made him so loved and close to many Italians.
