A few thousand catholic Tibetans live in the South-West of China, in the Tibetan region of Yunnan. Converted to Christianity by French and Swiss missionaries in the 19th century, they have been doubly persecuted by the Chinese communists both as Tibetan and as Catholics. Nevertheless, they maintained and handed down their faith, even if they had no priests. The film narrates the amazing experience of living in the heart of Tibet, a catholic Christmas, with the same rituals and traditions as Europe with the crib, the midnight wake and the Latin carols.
