The film unfolds in the remote land of the Skolt Sámi people of Finland, in the Lake Sevetti region, a 60km string of lakes that link the Sámi people together. This documentary tells one family’s struggle to maintain a delicate balance between preserving cultural traditions, economic survival and rapid modernization within their community. The evocative musical score seamlessly interweaves past and present in this sensitive and thought-provoking portrayal of a family united in their love for their one another.
