This film was shot on the 140th anniversary of the foundation of the Agordina section of the Italian Alpine Club, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the first winter ascent of the Jori: Andreoletti – Zanutti route (1921) on the North face of Agner, made by Reinhold and Heinrich Messner and Sepp Mayerl in February 1968. Mount Agner, 2,871 metres, in the Group of Pale di S. Martino is a rock giant which offers a superb climb on the highest wall of the Dolomites and has always aroused great mountaineering interest.
