This documentary is devoted to the wild fauna of the Alps. Each year chamois, ibex, eagles, marmots, foxes, mink, crows, vultures and hares must fight the cold of winter, threat of avalanches and lack of food. They have to avoid the attacks of predators and emerge stronger if they are to survive. They are constantly forced to defend their young, feed them and prepare them to face the harsh life that the mountains have in store. Each year, in the remotest parts of the Alps, animals fight their personal battle with life as they await an end to the snows and ice and the arrival of a time of rebirth and play.
