Placide is a young native from Ivory Coast, and he comes to Paris with the sole intention of evangelizing France. He preaches sometimes in the Parisian subway and soon meets a man who will become his spiritual father, a prophet.

Damien Mottier
Damien Mottier studied sociology. He has been assistant director and did his Ph.D. in Visual anthropology at the University of Nanterre. The film Prophète(s) is part of his PhD research on evangelical churches in the suburbs of Paris and it is his first film.
