At nightfall, a team of climbers find themselves trapped on a mountainside at the mercy of a violent storm. One of them is a girl called Arianna. A rescue team sets off to find them. In the meantime, the only person they can contact is Serge, a mountain-rescue policeman who strives to reassure them over the phone and to help them fight the cold. As the storm rages, Serge begins to realise that he will not manage to find them in the dark.
