It is winter: a man walks towards a monastery, looking for the true essence of God in his encounter with the monks, in their lives marked by the slow pace of prayer, everyday gestures and silence. In the midst of the snow, the silence is even deeper. This film developed out of the encounter with Father Cesare and the monastic community in Pra d' Mill (Cottian Alps). It is the expression of the director’s search for personal fulfilment and spirituality, a metaphor and itinerary of the soul for those who are looking for the way, lost in the dark forest of modernity.
