A group of Finnish men sit naked in a sauna, chatting happily. The heat from the powerful stoves cleanses the men’s body and mind. This film is a journey through the saunas of Finland that looks at life, love, childhood and friendship in an atmosphere tinged with magic. The emotions of the protagonists are so deep that their souls are laid bare, painting a poetic portrait of the Finns.

Joonas Berghäll
Born in 1977, he obtained a diploma from Tampere School of Art and Media in 2005. In 2004 he founded the Oktober Ltd. studio together with Mika Hotakainen and Katja Gauriloff, becoming the Managing Director. As a director he has made " The Smoking Room" (2006), "A Shout Into the Wind" (2007) and "Canned dreams" (2010).
Mika Hotakainen
Mika Hotakainen, born in 1977, gained a diploma in film direction in 2004 at the polytechnic of Helsinki University, Department of Arts and Media. He has been working in the television and film sector since 1998. In 2004 he co-directed a documentary entitled "Freedom to Serve" with Joonas Berghäll. In 2007 he made a short fiction programme, "Visitor".
