This is a story of change, the inevitable passing of time and the human desire to feel important, all told through the events in Finland’s living rooms. The centrepiece of every home, where we kick off our shoes and relax, the living room paints an accurate picture of its occupants. Grandfather’s wall clock, the 1980s sofa and armchairs, a worn rug and a welding machine that acts as a TV-unit are the backdrop to the dramas of daily life, and they offer a peak at modern Finnish society.
