Ashima Shiraishi is a young girl from New York, who at the age of just 9 conquered the world of bouldering. Under the guidance of her coach, Obe Carrion, this young champion is streets ahead of the competition and has raised the level for young boulderers. Obe takes her to Hueco Tanks, in Texas, where he himself obtained a major success 13 years earlier, and Ashima excites enthusiasm and wins everyone over.

Curriculum 2014:
Josh Lowell has been climbing and making movies about climbing almost as long as you've been watching them. Over the last 20 years Josh has climbed in exotic places all over the world but will always call his local crags of the East Coast, like the Shawangunks, home.

An expert climbing director, he has made several films about mountaineering. With Big UP Productions he has made numerous films since 1997, including “King Lines”, which competed at the 56th Trento Film Festival. In 2006, together with Peter Mortimer, he established the REEL ROCK Film Tour, with which he brings previews of the best climbing and adventure films to the attention of the public.
