Evoking the soul of a country through a story of adversity, courage and hope, Lion Souls is a journey through Zimbabwe about the lives of two men, joined not by fate but by faith and the hope for a better future. Carlo Spagnolli is an Italian surgeon who has dedicated his life to helping others in Africa. Thomas is one of his patients, a 25-year-old man tied to a wheelchair after having been beaten up. With the help of Carlo he will have to face the greatest challenge of his life: getting back up and walking on his own legs. Director

Manu Gerosa

Born in 1975 in Rovereto, Italy, she graduated in Contemporary History at the University of Bologna in 2001. She moved to Spain where she works as a freelance director and editor. She returned to Italy in 2006 and since then has worked as a director and editor of advertising spots, simultaneously developing personal documentary projects.
