Martin David, hunter and mercenary, is approached at an airport by two emissaries from a biotechnology company. They hire him for a mission in Tasmania, where he is asked to investigate the possible sighting of the last Tasmanian Tiger. Martin’s task is to find the animal, believed to be the healthy carrier of a precious toxin, take samples of the tissue and blood and then kill the tiger, so that the precious secret cannot arrive in the hands of the competitors. Once at the location, the man befriends the family putting him up in their home, made up of the wife and children of a zoologist disappearing in the very wilderness that he is about to explore. He therefore decides to also investigate this mysterious disappearance.
