In June 2010 thousands of shepherds from all over Sardinia gave rise to a clamorous protest, demanding dignity and a fair price for their products. This is an unprecedented journey exploring their reasons and daily life, in search of the origins of the protest. Images chosen from 390 hours of material, accompanied by Puccini’s music, specially reinterpreted by Mauro Palmas.

Paolo Carboni
He was born in Sardinia on 23 September 1966. A director and independent producer, in 2000 he founded the Areavisuale production company and attended courses on film documentaries held by the Argentine director Fernando Solanas, making his first independent documentaries.
Marco Antonio Pani
He was born in Sardinia in 1966. After classical and artistic studies, he obtained a diploma as an expert in audiovisual management in 1990. He has made more than thirty tourist, archaeology and art history documentaries as a director and screenwriter.
