Near Raiano, in Abruzzo, there is an isolated sanctuary: tradition has it that San Venazio lived in the caves nearby. Every year, on the Saint’s feast day, the faithful enter the caves and rub themselves on the rocks, seeking a cure for the ills that afflict them.
