The town of Alessandria del Carretto in Calabria is destined to be forgotten and disappear: the construction of the road that should have led to the town was interrupted years ago. Now the lorry transporting goods is obliged to come to a halt and the load must be transferred onto the backs of mules, to then cross woods, rivers and rocky terrain until the town is reached . Isolated from the world and without communications during the winter, when spring arrives the 1600 inhabitants of the town organise an important festival to welcome the warmer season.
