Lake Garda transformed into the Caribbean Sea: it happened in the 1960s when genuine floating studios were set up at Peschiera del Garda, used to produce films and television programmes for almost a decade. The protagonist of this extraordinary adventure was Walter Bertolazzi, who established an authentic fleet of period ships used as a set for pirate films starting from 1958.

Franco Delli Guanti is a professional documentary maker. For more than 25 years he has worked for local television channels, conceiving and presenting various programmes. In 2002 he founded Mediaomnia, which deals with television production and communications. In the last few years he has made several documentaries of a historical nature.

Ludovico Maillet, born in Grenoble in 1971, is currently a secondary school teacher. For years he has concerned himself with the cinema through writing, film forums, poster exhibitions and lessons. This is his first experience in the field of documentaries.
