This is a story about unknown yet some of the most provocative mountaineers of Korea, their impossible challenges pushed by deceitful desires and the tragic results that a cameraman has not only recorded but also actively participated in creating during the four Himalayan expeditions from 2009 to 2013. The film was finally completed by the cameraman’s own death in the Himalayas right after his first and last confession.

Kim Minchul

Born into a record shop that turned to a video rental store, he studied journalism in Korea and communication in the Netherlands. He has extensive experiences in audio-visual industry from film and TV to Ads. He produced award winning docs such as Iron Crows (2009), Planet of Snail (2011) and 9 Muses of Star Empire (2012).

Lim Iljin

Iljin Lim (1968-2018) was one of Korea's most prominent cameramen specialized in climbing films. Began as a climber at the college climbing club, he turned himself into a cameraman/ filmmaker specialized in climbing and mountain films. Lim died during the “Korean Way Gurja Himal expedition” in 2018 led by his friend and one of Asia's most renowned mountaineer Chang-Ho Kim.
