Herding is an occupation as old as time. In an era marked by globalisation, some communities continue to guard this precious knowledge. Among these people there is the Baldessari family from Bellamonte, nicknamed "Diga". They have migrated seasonally for four generations, leaving the Val di Fiemme in the autumn to look for grass for the animals on the plain, only returning in spring. However, in the era of Covid, hyper-urbanisation and the return of large carnivores, the rules of the game have changed for them.
