On a single night in October 2018, the wind and rain knocked down 14 million trees in Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, transforming stretches of mountain forests into an apocalyptic scenario, with incalculable environmental and economic consequences. 400 of those trunks have now been recovered and transported to the Greek theatre in Siracusa, where they become mute witnesses of both tragedies, as players on stage.

Director

Stefano Santamato

Born in 1989, he graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico in Milan in 2014 and subsequently trained as a documentary maker at CFP Bauer in Milan and the Documentary School in Locarno. He works for the Milan-based production company The Blink Fish, carrying out specific research into the relationship between architecture and audiovisual media.
