A study carried out by the Autonomous Province of Trento’s Tourism and Sport Department through TSM ADM Accademia della Montagna in cooperation with the Gestori dei Rifugi del Trentino association will try to understand the evolution taking place in the role of the mountain refuge manager. Mountain refuges represent an extraordinary cultural heritage, a way of safeguarding the area, and a point of reference for use of the mountains and promotion of a widespread culture of the mountains. At the centre of all this, the refuge manager is called on to deal with an increasingly multifaceted, complex and demanding role.
