Hans Ertl, the Schmit brothers and Solleder are known as the giants of the “Munich School”. They travelled around the Alps on heavy bicycles recuperated after the First World War, climbing all the most prestigious rock faces. Ertl’s autobiography, which has just come out in Italy, allows us to follow an existence full of turning points, glories, tragedies and secret love stories (such as the one with Leni Riefenstahl). Here his story has been made into an evening event with rare film footage and testimony that should not be missed.
