In 1952, the doctor and climber Scipio Stenico drew up a “general mountain rescue plan”, having been assigned the task by SAT: this was the origin of the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service, for 70 years at the service of those going to the mountains, which we will explore thanks to testimony from the past and present day.
