Abdul Karim is the most famous porter in the Karakorum. He was born in Hushé, a small village in northern Pakistan. He climbed with the greatest climbers of the moment: Messner, Kukuczka, Bonington... But Karim only wanted one thing: to change the life of his town. His latest project has been perhaps the most ambitious and revolutionary of all: he has created the first women's mountaineering team in Baltistan, in a country where women rarely can decide what to do with their lives.
