In Udmurtia the ancestor worship it has been preserved exceptionally well. A family has been a bearer of this form of Udmurt beliefs for a long time. After the death of his parents every Udmurt should arrange a special thank-sacrifice. This rite is called «Yyr-pydsеton» (literally «head and feet of the victim»).
