Italy / 1960 / 34'
This is the "filmed report" of the singular feat accomplished a few years ago by twelve guides from Val Tournanche, who, in the uninterrupted course of twenty-two days, completed from ridge to ridge a traverse in the Alps, namely in the Monte Rosa and Matterhorn Groups. The purpose of the undertaking was to solve the mountaineering and logistical problems anticipated for future expeditions to the rugged snow-capped mountains of Patagonia and the Himalayas.
