Sir Emund Hillary returns to "his" Everest for the forty-fifth time. The film documents this great explorer-mountaineer's devotion to this mountain and its people. Sir Edmund introduces young Sherpas to alpinism attanding his twenty-second school. With his son Peter he reaches remote Sherpa villages where he meets old friends and then he continues with a caravan of Yaks to the sacred lake of Gokyo where, once again, Everest can be admired.
