For the first time a man, Jean Louis Etienne called Papy reaches the North Pole alone and on foot. He was taken by plane to a certain point and from there continued without anyone to help him. 63 days march across the ice-pack of the Arctic Ocean to the pole and back. On his return he says it was just a question of will power. He achieved it because he used his head rather than his legs.
