Heinz Mariacher and Luisa Jovane leave the usual winter training to loof for suitable places in the Sahara for free climbing. Their aim, to climb the east wall of Garet el Djenoun, 500 m high, fails because the surface is too smooth and the crevices crumbly. The journey continues in Hoggar. There they find the climbing conditions they hoped for. A roof turns out to be a great challenge for Heinz.
