DYNAMIT AM SIMPLON
WERNER SWISS SCHWEIZER
Switzerland / 1989 / 100'
During the German army retreat from Italy at the end of World War II plans were made to destroy the Simplon tunnel. Tons and tons of dynamite were placed along the route and the population on both sides of the tunnel were alarmed not only because of the possible consequences for themselves but also because of the economic effects the event would have once the war was over.
