Two rock climbers attack the cliff of El Capitan in the United States National Park of Yosemite, the paradise of free climbing. One of them is nervous because of an earlier fall. He approaches the climb with trepidation but after scaling a very difficult pooint his confidence returns. When his partner nearly has a fatal fall he takes the lead bringing them both to the top.
