During the last ten years practically all the torrents in the mountains have been explored and descended by kayak except for one. The Soviet Union has always refused foreigners permission to descend the legendary torrents of the Altai mountains in the southern Siberia. The Glasnost has changed all that and, in fact, this documentary illustrates the descent of kayaks and catamarans in the Bahkaus torrent by a team of American experts and a group of Russians.
