The film is about the 700 km journey across the Algerian Sahara among the Tamanrasset and Djanet oases, from the Hoggar mountains to those of Tassili, by mountain bike. This expedition, supported bq a 4x4 lorry and a motorbike, was never made by bicycle before.
The film tries to underline the rediscovered slow dimension, similar to the caravans, compared with the unnatural speed that is the symbol of travelling in the desert today and considered to be quite normal as a result of the distorted image provided by the Paris-Dakar and other similar events.
