Lynn Rogers studied the black bears in the Canadian region of the great lakes. She experimented with a revolutionary technique and she was able to live among them and observe the most secret aspects of their biology. This documentary is about the study which offers us a new and fascinating picture of the American black bear. The resulting profile is not that of a ferocious and dangerous animal that attacks man, but a shy and reserved anial whose proverbial aggressiveness is only a bluff; a trick like the gorilla's, to make intruders keep their distance.
