After twenty years research, it is now possible to reconstruct a picture of the italian wolf. From the beginning the existance of two kinds of wolf are obvious. One of them is shy and evasive and nobody knows it well. The other is the wolf of fairytales and legends, bloodthirsty and evil, a figure of popular imagination. Unfortunately the real wolf always pays for the faults of his alter ego.
