Telemark is the fisrt technique that is known for turning on skys, invented by the Norwegian Sondre Norhein in the middle of the last century. It is a very natural and aesthetic bend of the knee with the inside heel of the foot raised and withdrawn at the bend. Supplanted by the more efficient and less tiring blocked heel techniques, it was rediscovered in the seventies in Colorado and soon became popular again on both sides of Atlantic. Nowadays it is a revolution in the imagination of the skier. The film shows all the peculiar aspects of modern telemark from the philosophy to the technique and end with some thoughts about the future of this style.
